MUSHA

Musha is my new favorite restaurant! They serve izakaya-style Japanese food, which some people like to call Japanese tapas.

This is the harasume salad: glass noodles, shredded chicken, and veggies in a ponzu-sesame oil dressing.

Grill-your-own beef. They brought out this little grill for us to cook our food!

Parmesan cheese risotto. This was awesome! The waiter scoops out the risotto from the block of parmesan. You can see it behind the little grill.

Ebi mayo mayo: Fried shrimp with a thousand island-like dressing, greens, and masago

MFC, or Musha fried chicken

Yakiudon. This dish was my second favorite. The udon noodles were nice and chewy...perfection!

I also wanted to order black sesame icecream, but they were all out : (. Until next time!!!

Golf

Sometime last fall, somehow, Elmer picked up the sport of golf and has been hooked ever since. We decided to take some lessons at Los Verdes Golf Course. The views at this course are amazing, overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Elmer's a natural athlete, unlike myself, so he's hitting pretty well (in my opinion). I am so inconsistent day-to-day! I don't think I'll ever be a good, even decent, golfer!

Anniversary^3

To celebrate our third wedding anniversary, Elmer and I went to The Melting Pot. I had been sooo excited to go ever since it opened in Torrance in December.

The cheese fondue was good with the veggies, bread, and apples. The main course was so-so. The chocolate fondue was excellent! We had so many things to accompany the chocolate fondue: marshmallows, cheesecake, poundcake, rice krispie treats, brownies, strawberries, and bananas. Believe it or not, I did try a piece of banana...bleh.

Valentine's

I made some Valentine's Day treats for the office. They were fun to bake and decorate, since it's kind of like doing arts and crafts.

Ox

Happy Chinese New Year! Just some photos from our New Year's lunch.

WTF?!!!

Erwil: Did you hear the story about Chewie?

Me: Noooo...

Erwil: They found him at the Mobil gas station the other day.

Me (thinking): WTF?!!!

In want of a new handbag

I love handbags. The last time I bought one was in May of 2007. I think it's about time I get a new one. You see, I need a purse that I can carry on my shoulder. It's just more convenient. My newest handbags aren't shoulder bags. I have to sling them on my arm, and that gets kind of annoying. Surprisingly Elmer agreed with me and gave me a budget of $1200. Woohoo!!! So here are some pictures of the bags that I want.
Burberry check hobo. I think this one is my first choice. It's a good size (I want something medium-large) and it comes with a little zip pouch! What a deal!

Burberry check jacquard hobo. I love this one, except that it's pink. The only other color it comes in is black, which I don't want. I'd get it in an almost-heartbeat if it were beige.

Louis Vuitton montorgueil pm. I love this too, but I kinda want a handbag from a designer that I don't already have.

And then I absolutely love this Louis Vuitton watercolor speedy 35, but it is a limited edition and hard to get and verrry expensive. Plus, it's not a shoulder bag!

Elmer is serious about the $1200 budget, but there's no way I'd be willing to spend that much on a purse. Maybe half that??? I'll think about it.
